

The upcoming Floyd County Chamber of Commerce Spooktacular Gala at Chantilly Farm will feature dance music provided by DJ Casey Worley and food catered by Blue Ridge Mountain Catering. This Halloween-themed event on Thursday, October 26, 5-9pm, will include spooky storytelling, face-painting support to complete your costume, and a preview performance of the Tales of Terror–Radio Drama by the Floyd Community Theatre Guild which will hold full performances on October 28-29 at the June Bug Center.
“We will also have an exciting special surprise Halloween performance by another group at 7pm,” pointed out Jason Gallimore of Chantilly Farm, which is hosting the event for the chamber.
Guests are encouraged to embrace the Halloween theme, by coming in costume to participate in the costume contest. A changing room is provided for those who need to change into costume.
Participating chamber member wineries, including Chateau Morrisette and Villa Appalaccia, will offer wine tastings along with a cash bar. This event, held in the special event barn at Chantilly Farm, will also showcase other chamber member businesses and organizations in the special event barn at Chantilly Farm during the first part of the evening. “We want our guests to really have fun at this event along
with our participating member businesses,” pointed out John McEnhill, Executive Director of the chamber. “The barn at Chantilly Farm is a wonderful facility for special events and with the fall colors in the background, the setting will be fantastic.”
This event is open to the public with no admission charge.
